Firm of MP in the KS Assembly tried to sell the state an ordinary metal cabinet for 1,400 KM

The Public Procurement Commission has annulled the tender for the selection of subcontractors for the maintenance of public lighting in four municipalities in the Sarajevo Canton, worth more than 200,000 KM. The Commission states that the tender was annulled due to an excessive price difference between the first and third bidders, confirmed to Patria by the company Park, which is the holder of this project.
A new tender was opened a few days ago, and the Commission is still collecting bids.

- The most expensive bidder in the first tender was the company Telefongradnja d.o.o. Sarajevo, which is owned by the family of SDA MP in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, Mirza Čelik. The cheapest of the three bidders was the company ARCADE d.o.o. Tuzla. The Public Procurement Commission decided to annul the tender and call for a new one, due to excessive differences in bid prices – reveals a Patria source.

- But it is strange that this tender was annulled. The price difference between Telefongradnja and ARCADE was only too large in some items. For example, Telefongradnja asked for 1,400 KM for an electrical cabinet, while ARCADE d.o.o. Tuzla asked for 400 KM for the same item. The bid of 400 KM is actually realistic. The purchase price of that electrical cabinet is around 200 KM, so the behavior of Telefongradnja, which raised the price seven times, is truly surprising – adds this source.

The first tender concerned the maintenance of public lighting in four municipalities: Trnovo, Hadžići, Vogošća, and Ilijaš. This time, the tender was announced for each municipality separately.

The Government of Sarajevo Canton extended at the end of last year the contract to the Public Enterprise "Park" Sarajevo to perform maintenance work on public lighting in Sarajevo Canton until July 1, 2016. However, since Park cannot perform this work alone, a tender for subcontractors was announced, writes Patria.
