Company "Lokom" tasked with catching stray dogs in Centar

The Service for Spatial Planning and Communal Affairs of the Centar Municipality regularly issues orders to the company „Lokom“ d.o.o. Sarajevo for the removal of abandoned animals from the streets of the central city municipality, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- The Centar Municipality has a signed agreement with this company for catching stray dogs, and in addition, the mayor of the Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, has concluded a contract with the representative of the UPI Agricultural Cooperative "Ilidža", which manages the shelter for abandoned animals in Rakovic, where, among other things, animals caught on the streets in Centar are housed - state the Municipality.

According to citizens' reports, there has recently been an increased number of stray dogs in the areas of the local communities „Breka-Koševo II“ and „Hrastovi-Mrkovići“, therefore the Service for Spatial Planning and Communal Affairs of the Centar Municipality has issued an order for the removal of abandoned animals from Zaima Šarca, Breka, Grdonj, Panjina kula, Sedrenik mali streets.

During the catching of stray dogs, the biggest problems are caused by representatives of animal protection associations who, with their behavior, hinder the procedure of removing abandoned animals from the city streets, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports Patria.
