Company from Bursa to build Aladža Mosque in Foča

The foundation stone for the reconstruction of Aladža Mosque in Foča will be laid on May 30 this year, and the reconstruction of one of the oldest mosques in BiH will be carried out by the company “Sama Inşaat“, a renowned company from Bursa, announced the Vakuf Directorate of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

In March this year, a protocol on the reconstruction of Aladža Mosque was signed between the Directorate of Endowments of the Republic of Turkey and the Vakuf Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH. The reconstruction and rebuilding of Aladža Mosque will be carried out according to the project designed for this purpose in 2009 by the company “Delta -3 Infinitet Mostar“, and approved by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology of the RS and the Department for the Protection of Natural, Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republika Srpska.

The Turkish company “Sama Inşaat“, which will carry out the reconstruction of Aladža, has been involved in the design, construction, reconstruction and renovation of old cultural-historical objects for thirty years, among other things. It is planned that the works on Aladža Mosque will begin immediately after the laying of the foundation stone.

The laying of the foundation stone for the reconstruction of Aladža Mosque is part of the program “Days of Endowments“ in BiH. The event was supposed to be held from May 22 to 30. Other very significant and diverse contents were also planned. However, given the new situation and the catastrophic floods that have affected our country and the region, the Vakuf Directorate has postponed all activities except for the mevlud and khatma for all waqifs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the opening of the endowment building of Gazi Ferhad-beg's madrasa for the seat of the Mufti of Tešanj, and the laying of the foundation stone for the reconstruction and renovation of Aladža Mosque in Foča, reports Patria.
