Filipović: Subsidies for citizens switching to gas

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the end of the month, the agenda of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton will include the Budget for 2019.

Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Environment Damir Filipović pointed out that funds are planned in it for subsidizing costs for citizens who want to switch from solid fuels to gas heating.

“We plan to allocate 400,000 KM for subsidizing costs for citizens who want to switch to gas. The goal is to bring natural gas back into use as the primary and most environmentally acceptable energy source in Sarajevo Canton,” Minister Filipović emphasizes.

If the KS Assembly adopts the proposed budget, the ministry will issue a public call for the allocation of subsidies to citizens as soon as possible.

Filipović noted that in previous years there was a weak response from citizens for these subsidies, and that this year they will strive to make the promotion of this measure more effective and provide citizens with as much information as possible.
