Field: Together we can make Sarajevo breathe again

(Patria) - The British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mathew Field, has joined the "Let's not suffocate Sarajevo" campaign.

He said that pollution is a big problem for everyone living in Sarajevo.

"My family and I love living in Sarajevo, but we don't like the air pollution that hits this city every winter. It seriously affects all of us and our health, and it doesn't have to be this way," said Field.

He points out that many cities and countries have had the same problem.

"Many cities and countries, including my own, have tackled this problem through better public transport, better energy efficiency, improved heating systems, and the introduction of higher standards," Field points out.

The United Kingdom, he emphasizes, as well as other friends, are here to help.

"What is needed is real and consistent political will. We should expect and demand better from those who have the power to make a difference. Together we can make Sarajevo breathe again," said the British Ambassador to BiH, Field.
