Field for NAP: The United Kingdom's unequivocal stance - genocide was committed in Srebrenica

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Serbia, as well as in the BiH entity of RS, a kind of revisionist hysteria has been ongoing for days, attempting to justify or even rename genocide as the most heinous adjudicated crime. Aleksandar Vučić, Aleksandar Vulin, Milorad Dodik are waving a report from the National Archives of the United Kingdom, according to which the Serb attack on Srebrenica was provoked by the Bosnian side, and that the attack occurred at the initiative of a local commander.

This document, allegedly from the Ministry of Defence of that country dated July 11, 1995, describes the events that preceded the happenings in Srebrenica, as well as the reaction of the Dutch UN battalion after the RS Army troops entered it.

The President of the Republika Srpska Veterans' Organization, Milomir Savčić, otherwise an indictee for aiding in genocide, stated that the British document on Srebrenica, which confirms that there was no plan to take Srebrenica, is very significant for establishing the final truth about the events in this municipality.

However, no documents can change the verdict and the statements of thousands of witnesses. The stories now attempting to impose the impression that everyone except the Serbs is to blame for Srebrenica, even though the verdict of the International Court in The Hague is clear, do not pass with the public, nor with the international community.

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Matthew Field, in a statement to Patria, unequivocally confirms that genocide occurred in Srebrenica.
 
“The National Archives of the United Kingdom, in the interest of transparent operation, recently published documents about Bosnia and Herzegovina that are 25 years old. The United Kingdom's unequivocal stance is that genocide was committed in Srebrenica. The authoritative assessments of the events in Srebrenica and other places are the verdicts of international courts; the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia itself heard thousands of witnesses, for which there are millions of pages of transcripts,” Field said.
