Fitschen in the BiH Presidency: Bećirović is one of Germany's most important interlocutors

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Fitschen.

During a substantive and friendly conversation, Ambassador Fitschen emphasized that Denis Bećirović's voice is highly respected in Berlin and that he is one of the most important interlocutors of the Federal Republic of Germany. This is also evidenced by the recent talks Bećirović had with leaders of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The German ambassador stated that the Federal Republic of Germany will continue to support our country and remains one of the main advocates of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path. The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Fitschen, stressed that his country's support for Bosnia and Herzegovina is unquestionable.

Bećirović thanked for the strong support that the Federal Republic of Germany provides to our country in reform processes and on the path to full membership in the EU and NATO. It was highlighted that this support contributes to the implementation of necessary reforms in society, improvement of infrastructure, the business environment, and strengthening democracy and the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was noted that the Federal Republic of Germany has proven itself many times as a true friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the conversation, Bećirović emphasized that the Federal Republic of Germany is the most important foreign trade partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He also recalled the important conversation with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, last month in Berlin. On that occasion, it was highlighted that relations between the two countries are very good and friendly, and Chancellor Scholz said that the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the main advocates of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path.

Among other things, the importance of the Federal Republic of Germany as an active participant in the process of bringing the Western Balkans closer to the EU was pointed out. Germany launched the Berlin Process with the aim of improving and intensifying regional cooperation in order to accelerate the region's connection with the EU. In this context, the Berlin Process is focused on areas of infrastructure development, business, regional youth exchange, and science.
