Festival in the Center: Rich program prepared for tonight and the weekend at multiple locations

(Patria) - The "Festival in the Center" event begins tonight, August 15, 2025, in Radićeva Street, and it is organized for the fifth consecutive year during the Sarajevo Film Festival.

On the first day of the festival, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, "Forgotten Childhood Games" led by Lejla Šebić will be held in Radićeva Street. From 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM, a performance by the Mostar Majorettes, accompanied by the Zenica Brass Band, will take place in the Art Gallery of BiH – Square in front of the National Theatre, while from 8 PM to midnight, citizens can enjoy ambient music in Radićeva Street.

Content is also prepared in Franca Lehara Street as part of the festival: from 5 PM to 9 PM DJ SET, and from 6 PM to 8 PM sports and entertainment content. From 9 PM to midnight, there will also be a DJ SET at Meeting Point. 

On the first day of the weekend, starting at 4:30 PM, a conversation with the authors of the book "You Say Light – I Think Shadow," Aleksandra Stratimirović and Sandra Praun, will be held at the Craftsmen's Home (Zelenih beretki 8), while at 5 PM, an ecological workshop for children, in cooperation with KJKP "Rad," will be held in Radićeva Street. At 7 PM on the same day, three activities are prepared: the opening of the exhibition titled "Film Stills" by Irma Markulin at the Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts, Cinelink: Promotion of the book "Bespotreban čovjek" by Edin Salčinović in the courtyard of the Buybook bookstore, and at the same time, a dance and singing performance for children by Mirsad Abdagić (Kiko Budalike) and the Ballet Studio "Aurora KUD Baščaršija" will be held in Radićeva Street.

From 9 PM, a film music concert by AKCUS "Seljo" is prepared in Radićeva Street, as well as a DJ SET that will last until midnight.

In Franca Lehara Street, from 5 PM to 9 PM, there will be a DJ SET, and from 6 PM to 8 PM, the activity "Sport and Fun."

On Sunday, August 17, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, a panel discussion titled "New Rethinking of Leadership and Cooperation Through the Prism of Mental Health" will be held at the European House of Culture and National Minorities (Kemal Monteno Park) with panelist Louise H. Johansen and moderator Asja Krsmanović. At the same time, in the courtyard of the Buybook bookstore, Cinelink will host the promotion of the books "Pitanje anatomije" by Marina Vujčić and "Balada o ubici i ubici i ubici" by Dalibor Pejić.

In Radićeva Street, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, "Forgotten Childhood Games," games for children such as "Školica" and "Care, Care gospodare," will be held under the guidance of Lejla Šebić. From 7 PM to 7:45 PM, also in Radićeva, a guitar concert by participants of the JU "Center for Culture and Youth of Centar Municipality" and the "Note" Music Workshop will be held, while from 10 PM, DJ DMZ will perform in the aforementioned street. An audiovisual spectacle that blurs the lines between propaganda and pop culture. At Meeting Point, from 9 PM to midnight, there will be a DJ SET, as well as in Franca Lehara Street from 5 PM to 9 PM. In the same time slot, the "Sport and Fun" workshop will be held in the aforementioned street.
