Feraget reacts to Avdić's statement: Stop obstructing investigations in the Memić and Dragičević cases

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Lawyer for the Memić family, Ifet Feraget, reacted with a public address to the statement made by journalist Avdo Avdić on Hayat TV on Tuesday regarding the Memić and Dragičević cases. 

"Dear Mr. Avdić,

I am addressing you regarding the claims published on February 23, 2021, in Hayat TV's News at 7, when you stated the following:

„Chief State Prosecutor Gordana Tadić has decided in the past period to take on two cases, the Dragičević case and the Memić case, using two fathers who are justifiably seeking the truth for their children as human shields to resolve some of her other problems. Now, anything you publish about her, she says we are attacking her because someone wants to prevent her investigation (scoffs!) in the Memić case! 
She took over that case two years ago, what she has done so far will be a complete absurdity, according to the documents I have, no matter how much I am condemned in public, but that's how it is because I have read the documents, and I hope the public will soon see that it is all a deception, why? Because the main actors will not be arrested. No one mentions the then Chief Prosecutor Dalida Burzić anymore, she is now a judge of the Court of BiH, she is not mentioned, no one mentions her deputy Aida Topalović, no one mentions the two acting prosecutors Mladen Furtula and Ivana Petković, who are now in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, meaning the people who were mentioned in the past period are no longer mentioned, some third parties are mentioned, and now when you point this out, you become a person preparing an assassination attempt on the Chief State Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.“

Your scoffing at the moment you speak about the investigation into the cover-up of a child's murder says everything about you! Your goal is to destroy the sincere feelings of parents searching for the truth about their murdered children, to undermine citizens' trust that there are still honest prosecutors and judges in this country, to poison their hope that these (and all other cases) will be resolved, to abuse the souls of suffering citizens who see a way out of our common agony in this struggle. You scoff because you have no soul, because you are rude and intellectually dishonest! You need to be treated!

I notice that in this mess of yours, you are making comments without verifying the accuracy of the claims contained therein, thereby exceeding the limits of the right to freedom of expression under Article 10, Paragraph 1 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and the provisions of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

For these reasons, I am compelled, as a lawyer and as a human being, to react to your insensitive and primitive way of addressing the Memić and Dragičević families, in order to protect the interests of the Memić and Dragičević families!

In the previously published open letter of February 3, 2021, I already informed you that, as the lawyer for the Memić and Dragičević families, I will always react to protect the interests of the investigation of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in these two extremely sensitive cases, and to protect the interests of Messrs. Muriz Memić and Davor Dragičević, I must also react as a human being to the written vomit!

It is obvious that your intention is not to raise the issue of the quality of the investigation in these cases, but something else entirely. The quality of the criminal investigation in the Memić case is at an enviably high level, and it was initiated when sufficient quality evidence was collected! According to the announcement of the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, esteemed Ms. Gordana Tadić, this investigation will yield results! The BiH Prosecutor's Office will act in an identical manner in the Dragičević case! Your intention is to suggest your conclusion to viewers and readers through these vulgarities about who the main actors in these two cases are!
These investigations are well-planned because a detailed risk assessment has been carried out regarding the possible destruction, concealment of evidence, or obstruction of the investigation in any other way (including by writing journalistic vomit), which is why the timing of each investigative action is very precisely planned. 

Such an investigation aims precisely to uncover who the main actors in these two cases are, i.e., who ordered the cover-up of these two obvious murders! Therefore, the actors are one thing, and the main actors in the cover-up of these murders are another!

Just follow the investigation of the BiH Prosecutor's Office carefully, and you will find out who the main actors are! Perhaps you know some of them!", Feraget stated.
