Feraget: I looked Burzić in the eye and told Muriz to prepare for a long fight

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - As long as there is one criminal in the judiciary, we cannot have a functional judiciary, said Ifet Feraget, lawyer for the Memić family, for N1 ahead of today's protests on the fourth anniversary of Dženan Memić's death.

"This is not the first case, neither Dženan nor David, there are dozens of such cases. Unfortunately, our judiciary has perfected its tactics. Morality and honesty are categories they have neglected. As long as there is one criminal in the judiciary, we cannot have a functional judiciary"; Feraget said.

He emphasized that "the killer's name will be known when the investigation is completed".

"These are people who are paid with our money, and they make life miserable for the entire nation. We have resolved this case, but they are conducting investigations. The killer's name will be known when the investigation is adequately completed. The fight for truth and justice begins with launching an adequate investigation"; the lawyer stated, adding that he told Muriz a long time ago that it would take them at least five years.

"We were faced with an alternative, and we are still faced with that alternative today. Should we live without truth and justice, or fight for it? Immediately after the meeting, and when I looked Dalida Burzić in the eye, after she presented us with falsehoods and fabrications, I told Muriz: Prepare for a legal battle that will last at least five years"; Feraget recalled.

"This fight has nothing to do with politics. Politics created these two cases. The most severe form of crime that any society faces is organized crime. Most people told me that I was fighting windmills, but we want to persevere in this fight until the end"; says Feraget.
