Feraget: The investigation is ongoing and that will be our denial of Izetbegović's words

"I think we will deny everything through the investigation. We are interested in the medical treatment of Dženan Memić, from the moment they took him over to what kind of treatment he had. The investigation is ongoing and that will be our denial of what Izetbegović said," said the lawyer of the Memić family, Ifet Feraget, in response to this morning's letter from the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (KCUS) regarding this case.

"Why did it take KCUS more than 15 days to submit documentation to the cantonal prosecutor's office? I think it would be better if no one spoke today, especially not threatening the father Muriz with lawsuits; that is inhumane, to say the least. We know how everything unfolded when it comes to amnesia," he said.

As he adds, "the key is the investigation into the investigation."

"I said at the beginning that the key is the investigation into the investigation. The other night, the public watched a duel; I want to know who left a message at the reception desk for the receptionist to review the footage from February 8. Who drove away the police officer? Who deleted the footage from February 8, 9, and 10? Members of the Ministry of Interior (MUP) only arrived on the 22nd."

"One important recording was reviewed; Dženan was killed around 9:45 PM. They took time to prepare the scenario of a fake accident. This is too big a story; my advice is not to threaten with lawsuits for defamation. Dženan and David will change the political picture of this country."

He added that he has confidence in the state prosecutor's office.

"I have confidence in the state prosecutor's office and the prosecutors. It is inhumane to link these cases with any other. These two cases are special; we have absolutely all the evidence. There is more than enough evidence, and I expect a faster pace."

Feraget recalled the words of Johannes Hahn that these two cases could be key because:

"These two tragedies must serve as a tool to identify failures. Who are the masterminds? Who stopped the processes and in whose interest was that?

I have over 10,000 pages of evidence in the Memić case. It is not so important to say who the killer is, but who obstructed the investigation. Prosecutors as individuals do not have that power."
