Federal Ministry of Education and Science Receives Positive Assessment

The Federal Ministry of Education and Science has received a positive opinion from the Office of the Auditor General of Institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the second consecutive year, demonstrating its commitment to responsible and efficient operations, as stated by the ministry, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

As stated in the submitted Final Report on the Audit of Financial Statements for 2013, which received a "positive opinion," the financial statements of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, in all material respects, present a true and fair view of the state of assets and liabilities, business results, and budget execution for 2013, in accordance with the adopted financial reporting framework. Furthermore, according to the auditors' opinion, the Ministry's financial operations during 2013 were, in all material aspects, in compliance with the applicable legal regulations.

The audit was conducted from December 2013 to April 2014, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science considers this "positive opinion" as an encouragement for the demonstrated responsibility and transparency in its work.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Science also received a positive opinion from the Office of the Auditor General of Institutions in the Federation of BiH for 2012, being the only federal budget user and the only federal ministry to receive such an opinion. In general, since the establishment of the Office of the Auditor General in the Federation of BiH, a very small, almost negligible number of institutions in the Federation of BiH have received a positive auditor's opinion, according to the statement, reports Patria.
