
(Patria) - On the occasion of March 1, the International Civil Protection Day and the Civil Protection Day of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters (FŠCZ) adopted a Decision on awarding civil protection recognitions and awards to individuals and collectives, legal entities, social and other organizations and associations for special merits in the field of protection and rescue during 2023.
The civil protection badge for exceptional courage, humanity and self-sacrifice in protection and rescue in the Federation of BiH, and for achieved results in organizing, equipping and strengthening the system of protection and rescue of people and material goods from natural and other disasters in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were awarded to: Sanel Bekan, Zihad Hrelja, Arnel Keleštura, Jakub Karalić, Mehmedalija
Kurtalić, Edin Delija, Mehmed Prelić, Asmir Suljević and Jela Šafradin.
A written commendation of civil protection for invested work, dedication and achieved results in the protection and rescue of people and material goods from natural and other disasters and special contribution in leading protection and rescue actions were awarded to the following individuals and collectives: Midhat Brkan, Mirsad Mahinić, Sead Mustajbašić, Remzo Šogolj, Adin Šehović, Samra Džafić, Kenan Čatović, Zoran Jovanović, Said Mujić, Darko Jakovljević, Nihad Mešić, Jasmin Habul, Ernis Zuko, Amer Bašić, Senad Buljetović, Senad Hasanović, Almir Omerović, Adnan Rizvo, Alem Muharemović, Nusret Kabulović, Jasmin Žigić, Nedžad Brkanić, Rajko Brković, Emsad Rubanović, Halil Hadžić, Marinko Žepačkić, Nihad Bužo, Tarik Halkić, Azmir Aljkanović, Mevludin Memić, Foundation for Scholarship of Students and Pupils “Iman”, Mountain Rescue Service - Station Mostar, HGSS
Station Posušje - high-altitude rescue service, Diving Club “VIR-SANA”, Extreme Sports Club “CONDOR”, Mountain Rescue Service - Station Visoko, Serdivan Bosna-sancak eğitim kültür ve spor kulübü derneği, Sakarya and the Red Cross of the City of Lukavac.
A written certificate of appreciation of civil protection for achieved cooperation, provided support and assistance that was of exceptional importance for the organization and construction of the protection and rescue system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were awarded to the following individuals and collectives: Hamit Sezer, Mikdat Süzgen, Seyhan Bardakçi, Mountain Rescue Service Lukavac, Express courier Sarajevo and Sarajevo International Airport.
The International Civil Protection Day, which is also celebrated as the Civil Protection Day of the FBiH, is an opportunity to thank and pay tribute to collectives and every individual who in the past year, marked by earthquakes, fires and floods, showed a high level of professionalism, organization, self-sacrifice and humanity both in prevention and in response to natural and other disasters.
Those who selflessly and without hesitation saved the lives of others and material goods, risking their own lives, restore hope and faith in goodness and a safer future.
