FBiH: Diesel on average 1.4 KM more expensive since January, gasoline 58 feninga more

(Patria) - The average retail price of premium unleaded gasoline 95 is today 0.01 KM per liter higher than yesterday, while the average price of diesel has also increased by 0.01 KM per liter.

In January of this year, the price of diesel was 2.29 KM per liter, and as of today, the average price is 3.69 KM per liter.

The price of a liter of gasoline in January was 2.32 KM, and it is currently 2.90 KM per liter, announced the Federal Ministry of Trade (FMT).

The price of diesel from April 1st to today is 21 feninga higher, and gasoline is 15 feninga higher per liter.

These differences are most often the result of the application of margin limitation measures, as previously procured stocks are sold at previous prices, while new procurements are formed in accordance with current input costs.

FMT points out that margin limitation measures on oil derivatives are in force.

For business entities engaged in wholesale trade, the maximum margin is set at an absolute amount of 0.06 KM per liter of derivative, while for business entities engaged in retail trade of oil derivatives, the maximum margin is set at an absolute amount of 0.25 KM per liter of derivative.

The Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs (FUZIP) conducts regular controls on the oil derivatives market, and citizen reports are an important contribution to more efficient supervision and consumer protection.

The focus of the inspection supervision is on controlling wholesale and retail price calculations, i.e., on controlling the formation of prices prescribed by immediate price control measures.

FMT has invited citizens of FBiH to use the FMToil mobile application, through which they can monitor fuel prices at gas stations throughout FBiH in real time.
