Fajon: Thank you Sarajevo, the award is an honor and a responsibility

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton yesterday unanimously decided that the "Honorary Citizen of Sarajevo Canton" charter will be awarded to Tanja Fajon, Member of the European Parliament (EP). 

This charter is awarded for "exceptional merits in spreading the truth about the events in BiH and developing international relations based on the principles of solidarity, democracy, and tolerance among people of different nations, religions, and cultures". 

Fajon reacted to the news on Twitter, writing "Thank you very much, Sarajevo. The award is a great honor and responsibility".

Otherwise, Tanja Fajon is among the most vocal advocates in the European Parliament for BiH's entry into the European Union and a critic of retrograde forces that are slowing down Bosnia and Herzegovina on its Euro-Atlantic path.
