EYOF 2019: Biathlon and cross-country skiing competitors preparing on Igman

SARAJEVO, EAST SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Ten competitors will represent BiH at EYOF in cross-country skiing and biathlon disciplines, with venues on Igman (cross-country skiing) and Jahorina (biathlon). Four young men will compete in cross-country skiing, and coach Goran Santrač reveals that they are currently preparing on Igman.

- We will have final preparations from Tuesday, February 4th to Saturday, February 9th on Igman to get acquainted with the track where the competition will be held, as it has been changed - Santrač told Patria.

The good news is that there are no injuries, and preparations are proceeding as planned. Santrač also states that all competitors have experience in international races, so there is no room for nervousness or excitement.

- The only thing that might happen is that it's the first time such a big competition is held in front of a home crowd, so perhaps a little excitement because of that - says Santrač.

He says that talking about medals is illusory given the competition and the competitors who have already won junior medals, but that EYOF is an opportunity for FIS points for BiH competitors.

BiH will be represented in these two disciplines by: Marija Jokić (2002), Anđela Samardžija (2002), Andrija Jugović (2001), Luka Vrećo (2001), Aleksa Vuković (2002), Predrag Pantić (2002), Uroš Lalović (2002), Davor Škipina (2002), Nikola Gavrilović (2002), and Đorđe Santrač (2002).

In addition to Santrač, the team is being prepared by coaches Goran Mumović, Bojan Minić, and Dragan Jeftović.
