European Commission sent additional questions to BiH

The European Commission today forwarded additional questions for the purpose of preparing an opinion on BiH's application for EU membership, the Directorate for European Integration announced.

The additional questions consist of 20 questions from the Questionnaire delivered in December 2016. Countries in the region also had a similar proportion of additional questions in the Questionnaire.

The largest number of additional questions (106) relates to the political criterion, while the European Commission posed 33 additional questions in the economic criterion. This is followed by Chapter 19. Social Policy and Employment (43), Chapter 14. Transport Policy (39), and Chapter 26. Education and Culture (36)...

The first activity of the Directorate for European Integration will be the translation of the additional questions from English. After that, they will be entered into the information system to support the preparation of answers to the Questionnaire, and then the competent institutions will prepare contributions for the comprehensive answers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the continuation of the realization of this work, the contributions of the competent institutions will be technically finalized by working groups and, if necessary, other bodies within the coordination system of the European integration process. The purpose of the additional questions is to clarify previously submitted answers, note changes compared to the answers to the Questionnaire, and include data for 2017 that could not be collected earlier.
