A helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for emergency medical evacuation (MEDEVAC), which from July 8 to 11 actively participates in supporting the activities of the “Peace March 2015” and the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the suffering of Bosniaks in Srebrenica, on July 9, carried out an emergency medical evacuation of two critically ill patients from Bratunac to the Clinical Center Tuzla, reports the Patria news agency.
The Armed Forces of BiH performed this task in a timely and successful manner, and the aircraft returned to Konjević Polje and continued with MEDEVAC duty.
The BiH Armed Forces will continue, within the available capacities and resources, to be on constant standby to provide assistance to civilian authorities in BiH upon requests and in emergency situations, thereby making their full contribution to the execution of this legally prescribed task, the Ministry of Defense of BiH announced.
According to information received from Ersija Aščerić Mujedinović, spokesperson of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, the patients are stable and not life-threatening. They are being kept at the Internal Medicine Clinic for observation.
