Epilogue of the Political Storm in Goražde, Dismissals in the Assembly and the Ministry of Interior of the BPK

(Patria) - The parliamentary majority in the BPK Goražde tonight dismissed the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Edita Velić (DF), after which the Serbian People's Club earlier requested protection of vital national interest. This outcome was announced by the ruling majority, who believed that any other course of action would lead to new blackmail by the Liberal Party, which wants to be part of the government. Instead of Velić, her party colleague Aida Sirbubalo was elected as Deputy Speaker.

A majority of 14 deputies, after the adjournment of the 9th extraordinary session, scheduled a 10th session with an identical agenda. Tonight, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Nizama Rišljanin, was also dismissed, preceded by heated public debates and mutual accusations regarding influences on the police during promotions, as well as the procedures for hiring 25 new police officers. The competition was annulled this morning by the Government of the BPK Goražde. Nermin Karišik was appointed as the new Minister of Internal Affairs.
