EP BiH: Reductions in supply and provision increasingly likely

(Patria) - The Tuzla Thermal Power Plant's depots are without coal reserves, and further production of electricity and heat is seriously threatened due to current events in the Concern's mines and questionable supply from RU Kreka.
Reductions in supply and customer provision are increasingly likely.

Last night at 10 PM, Block 4 was shut down, and Block 3 with one boiler was put into operation as a replacement capacity. These are facilities that produce heat for heating approximately 120 thousand citizens of Tuzla and Lukavac.

Block 3 will operate with both boilers next week, for which a cooling period is forecast. The necessary quantities of coal for its operation will be provided from the Banovići and Stanari mines.

Next week, the production of electricity and technological steam for industry will be carried out only on Block 6, whose operation is difficult and currently based on flow-through reception, which means that all delivered quantities of coal are immediately transported into the production process.

The Tuzla Thermal Power Plant has informed users of heat and technological steam about possible reductions in supply caused by the suspension of coal supply from the Concern's mines.

At the Kakanj Thermal Power Plant, due to the difficult operation of the facilities in Tuzla, all three blocks are in operation, and their further operation at full capacity is questionable from a technological and safety aspect.
