Energoinvest requests another natural gas price reduction from the FBiH Government

(Patria) - Energoinvest, d.d. Sarajevo has submitted a request to the Government of the Federation of BiH for a 2.0% reduction in the price of natural gas for tariff customers. This new reduction in the price of natural gas comes at a time when the prices of this energy source are rising in the region and on natural gas exchanges.

“The reduction in the gas price for the first quarter is a result of Energoinvest having achieved agreed-upon conditions with the supplier in such a way that the calculation of the natural gas price is based on the gas formula, and not exclusively on the stock market price.

This approach has ensured that despite the rise in gas prices on the exchanges, as well as the cessation of gas transit through Ukraine from 01.01.2025, Energoinvest is able to continue to reduce the price of natural gas for users in the Federation of BiH.“ - stated Mirza Ustamujić, Director of Energoinvest d.d.

This reduction in the price of natural gas is the result of Energoinvest's efforts to ensure stability and favorable conditions for our citizens and our economy. Times are challenging, gas storage facilities in Europe are emptying faster than planned, and faster than in 2021, directly as a consequence of colder weather.

If the Government of the Federation of BiH approves the request submitted by Energoinvest today, it would be the second consecutive price reduction, which is particularly important as it comes during the coldest days of the year when consumption is extremely high.
