Energoinvest completes a project worth 31 million euros

Representatives of Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo attended the energisation of the 110 kV Erseke – Permet transmission line in the Republic of Albania, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- This is a significant project for our company, with a total value of 31 million euros. In addition to the transmission lines in the south, Energoinvest is implementing another major project in the north of Albania – a 400 kV transmission line worth 28.5 million euros - stated Energoinvest.

The ceremony for the commissioning of the transmission line, in addition to Energoinvest Director Enes Čengić and Assistant Director for Engineering Mersad Ramović and their employees in Albania, was attended by the Minister of Energy and Industry of the Albanian Government, Damian Gjinkuri, Vice President of the German Bank for Reconstruction and Development (KfW) Christoph Tiskens, General Director of the Albanian Transmission System Operator, Engjell Zeqo, and representatives of the German Embassy in Albania. 

- Our engineers, designers, assemblers, and workers have shown that in very difficult and demanding conditions in southern Albania they can do quality work, a top-notch product, which is confirmed on this project by the Albanian authorities, as well as our German financial partners. The contracts obtained and their successful implementation have positioned Energoinvest as a leader in the power sector in this part of Europe. Confirmation of this is the recently received notification of winning another major project in the region. Namely, the Montenegrin Transmission System has awarded Energoinvest a contract for the construction of the 400 kV Čevo – Pljevlja transmission line with a total value of approximately 29 million euros! This has also confirmed excellent interstate cooperation between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with support from the current governments of both countries - said Čengić. 

Thanks to the contracts it is implementing, and this new one in Montenegro, Energoinvest will ensure stable company operations, references, and open doors for obtaining new contracts both in the region and in other markets. Despite these exceptional results, unfortunately, the war in Iraq and Libya, and the inability to collect on our executed contracts, still represent a major problem for the company, which hinders business operations, stated Energoinvest.
