ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND EQUIPMENT Handover of Completed Works on Several School Facilities in ZDK

(Patria) - Activities on the implementation of energy efficiency measures and installation of equipment using renewable energy sources in selected school facilities, planned by the Memorandum of Cooperation for 2025 between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of ZDK and Caritas Switzerland, have been fully completed.

The implementation of measures will continue in the coming years at certain school facilities, in accordance with the planned dynamics.

The total value of investments in all facilities covered by the Memorandum for 2025 amounts to approximately 300,000 KM, with equal financial participation from the Ministry and Caritas Switzerland.

Today, the handover of completed works was carried out at several school facilities. At the Elementary School "Abdulvehab Ilhamija" in Kalošević near Jelah, energy efficiency measures were implemented, including the repair of part of the roof structure with accompanying sheet metal work and insulation of the ceiling slab. For the coming years, the installation of thermal facade and replacement of joinery are planned for 2026, and the installation of a heat pump in 2027.

At the Branch School Raduša of Elementary School "Huso Hodžić" in Tešanj, a comprehensive energy renovation was completed, including the replacement of joinery, construction of thermal facade, repair of the roof structure, and installation of an air-to-water heat pump.

At the Branch School Moštre – Radovlje of Elementary School "Mula Mustafa Bašeskija" in Visoko, a photovoltaic power plant was built, which, after the school enters prosumer status, will produce electricity for the needs of the previously installed heat pump.

At the Elementary School "Ahmed Muradbegović" in Donji Kakanj, the replacement of external joinery was carried out as part of activities to increase the energy efficiency of the facility, while the construction of thermal facade is planned for 2026.

The handover of works began in Tešanj, in Kalošević, after which the delegation also visited schools in Raduša, Donji Kakanj and Radovlje near Visoko, where successfully completed works were noted and activities for continued cooperation in the coming years were agreed upon.
