(Patria) - Sead Marevac, the father of the deceased Hamza Marevac, published an emotional status on social networks.

"When you were born, in 2002, and when I gave you that name, I knew I had given you a huge burden through life, because it is not easy to bear that name. Father thought you would be a commander or someone else important.

You were the last descendant of the Marevac family from your grandfather Sulejmen, Arif, and Husejin, and when we lost you, by Allah's will, that lineage completely died out. When you left us, father's dreams were shattered, and since then, every day and night I look for a reason where I went wrong and why this had to happen to us. Was your sacrifice and ours in vain? Until these days, I changed my mind, but only to myself, and I didn't bother anyone. Dear Hamza, you are fulfilling your mission with your name and your sacrifice, not only for your religion of Islam but for the benefit of the people who were with us during these 8 years. Son, I would never have thought that you would have to fight against enemies from your own people. You are doing that now, along with your brother Memić, and defending your land soaked in the blood of martyrs and all those who defended it. Is there anything holier than destroying evil in our city and building a better society? Yet Allah singled you out from so many children and kept you for something that father did not know until this moment, and thank Allah, now we know many things.

This evil, this greed in the city and the country will soon be defeated, and the infidels will be arrested and convicted for the evil they have inflicted on us and all the citizens of Sarajevo. I, your mother, brother, and sister, your Dada, your classmates forgive this sacrifice in the hope that from tomorrow we will have a better and fairer society for future generations. I still have a lot of strength in this fight, and I testify that your sacrifice and the sacrifices of other children are not in vain, and Allah knows best. Amen," Marevac wrote.
