Emir Spahić to spend next year with HSV

German club HSV announced on its website that Bosnian footballer Emir Spahić will sign a one-year contract with the club after medical examinations were completed, writes the Patria news agency.

It was noted that Spahić, as a free agent of such class, will contribute to stability at HSV. It was also mentioned that they spoke with Spahić about the incident he had in Leverkusen.

Incidentally, the leaders of Hamburger SV had been working seriously for some time to sign Emir Spahić during this transfer window. The club, which narrowly avoided relegation from the Bundesliga, will strengthen its defensive line with the Bosnian international.

 Emir Spahić has been a free agent since April, after he mutually terminated his contract with Bayer Leverkusen following an incident with security guards. From that day until now, he has been linked with numerous clubs, including Dinamo, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, and Panathinaikos.
