Emir Kusturica a candidate for Mayor of Trebinje?

Film director Emir Kusturica could be SNSD's candidate for Mayor of Trebinje in the upcoming local elections, reports the Patria News Agency.

Unofficial information that Emir Kusturica could be SNSD's first choice in next year's local elections emerged three months ago from sources close to the Trebinje SNSD, but there is no official confirmation.

Unofficially, the possible candidacy of Kusturica was also discussed at the recently held meetings of the local structures of this party.

The President of the SNSD City Committee, Luka Petrović, told Radio Trebinje that "there are indications, but it is too early to talk about it, as the City Committee and the Main Committee of SNSD have not yet held their sessions." Petrović stated that he had not personally spoken with Kusturica on this topic.

The Mayor of Trebinje, Slavko Vučurević, is convinced of his victory in the upcoming local elections.

-SNSD can nominate anyone, but I will win, Vučurević briefly commented on the information that Kusturica is a potential candidate for the top position in Trebinje.
