Elvedina Muzaferija wins first World Cup points for Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - Today, the combined race of the Alpine Skiing World Cup was held in Altenmarkt, Austria, and our skier Elvedina Muzaferija won points for the first time by placing among the top 30 skiers, finishing in 29th place, thus earning two points.

Already after half of the second run, Elvedina learned that she would enter the history of Bosnian skiing if she managed to cross the finish line, as Tina Weirather from Liechtenstein withdrew from the race.

After the first run, she was 31st, largely thanks to the fact that as many as 16 skiers did not reach the finish. Among them was the legendary American skier Mikaela Shiffrin.

Muzaferija completed the first run in a time of 1:18.40, and Elvedina finished the race in 2:12.70, which was 9.35 seconds behind Federica Brignone.

These are the first points that Bosnia and Herzegovina has won in the World Cup since the independence of our country.

First place was taken by Federica Brignone, second place by Wendy Holdener, and third place by Marta Bassino.
