Elma Godinjak laid to rest

(Patria) - At the Vlakovo City Cemetery in Sarajevo, in the presence of a large number of family members, friends, neighbors, and citizens, the funeral prayer for the murdered Elma Godinjak was held today, reports Vijesti.ba.

In silence and deep sorrow, those gathered bid farewell to Elma, whose tragic passing has shaken the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Elma's death caused shock and disbelief, and opened numerous questions in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian public.

Elma was killed on May 1st in her apartment in Dobrinja by her ex-husband Tarik Prusac, who then took their child with him.

Hours later, the police arrested him in Baščaršija.

A hearing was held for Prusac yesterday at the premises of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo. He was ordered into one month of custody and is charged with the criminal offense of aggravated murder.
