(Patria) - At today's emergency session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, NES representative Jasmin Emrić informed the Chair that a new mixed caucus of representatives has been formed in the Parliament, consisting of Emrić, representative Elvisa Hodžić, and representative Šemsudin Mehmedović.
The President of the Caucus is Emrić, and the Deputy is Mehmedović. The Chair of the House, Denis Zvizdić, wished this caucus successful work.
PDP representative Branislav Borenović also took the floor, calling on representatives to vote against the proposal of the SNSD Caucus to appoint him to the House Collegium.
"We will make decisions in the PDP-SDS-For Justice and Order caucus within the capacity we have. I consider all other intentions of the proposer, whose name I do not even wish to mention, to be a perfidious game and dragging us into the mud in which this country finds itself. I hope that we will soon show what the new parliamentary majority should look like, both here and in the House of Peoples," said Borenović.
He added that he has no intention of being elected by this political group because it is not a reflection of sincerity and responsibility.
"And if that were to happen due to some relationship you have with colleagues, I am ready to immediately resign if something like that occurs. I am not interested in privileges, cars, secretaries, advisors, privileges, but in creating something from which everyone will benefit," said Borenović.
The floor was taken by the head of the SNSD Caucus, Sanja Vulić, who pointed out that there is no member from the Serbian people in the Collegium and that this violates the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"We want to elect colleague Borenović because he has imposed himself as the leader of that new majority. Our goal is for a Serb from the Republika Srpska to occupy that seat. During our cooperation with our partners, we have proven to be a fair factor. These people who falsely advocate for the European path and spread lies that the SNSD is slowing down the European path. Of the nine European laws, four were proposed by Bunoza, three by Minister Nešić, and one each by Amidžić and Košarac. I ask you, gentlemen, where is your contribution to the European path? The greatest contribution to the EU path was made by ministers from the Croatian and Serbian peoples. I wish you luck in that new majority. And I call on you to elect Mr. Borenović. You are the ones who derogate the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and mock the Dayton Peace Agreement. Does this House respect the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina? We from the SNSD and the HDZ have proven how much we care about the European path," said Vulić.
Although Borenović refused to be a candidate, Zvizdić put the proposal to a vote, with 37 representatives voting against and four abstaining, meaning the proposal did not pass.
Zvizdić concluded the session and announced a new one for the following week due to the request for the reconstruction of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Troika proposed the dismissal of SNSD ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić.
