OHR Experts Discuss BiH State Property at Italian Embassy, Focusing on Roads, Railways, and Ports

(Patria) - The seventh consultative meeting of state property experts was held yesterday at the Italian Embassy in Sarajevo. The working group discussed various modalities of ownership, management, and use of resources covered by Annex 9 of the Dayton Peace Agreement, such as roads, railways, and ports, and compared them with different legal frameworks applied in other countries.

The working group, formed by the OHR with the support of the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board, aims to establish expert opinions and information to assist the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in activities aimed at resolving the issue of state property.

An acceptable and sustainable solution for the distribution of property between the state and other levels of government is the first objective of the 5+2 Agenda. This is a long-standing commitment of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
