Drone Expert Who Doesn't Care About Traffic Collapses

Another road has been asphalted. Majdanska Street has received new layers of asphalt. It is difficult to find fault with these scenes of strong black color, photographed from a bird's-eye view. Vehicles will drive smoothly on it. This is what the Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Šteta, is counting on. However, the faults are big, measured in kilometers. The traffic jams in Sarajevo are just as long. And the jams are daily, even on weekends. For years. Šteta has no intention of at least alleviating them. He has no vision or initiative. His colleagues from the Government or the parliamentary majority are not suggesting anything to him either.

Instead of real work, there is only photography and the creation of powerful dynamic videos shot by drones for minor progress in the field of transport. This pathological self-promotion is probably meant to distract us, to ease the nervousness due to delays caused by unbearable traffic jams in a city that has been under the rule of the incompetent Trojka for five years.

Šteta has not only resurfaced roads that others built. He also reconstructed the tram line. It is true that we got nice trams, but they provided comfort without increasing passenger transport speed. We also got new trolleybuses. The traffic jams remained. They even increased during Šteta's term. Trams and trolleybuses have completed the aesthetic experience, but we need new roads, new management systems in this sector, but that is missing. We have a standstill in the development of the capital city. More precisely, Šteta lacks the capacity and knowledge to keep up with the growing number of vehicles and the dynamics of business and life in the capital city of our country.

Daily waiting in traffic jams, inching forward, constant exposure to stress for tens of thousands of drivers and passengers, have an impact on collective health. There is a lot of accumulated anger when you have to go at a snail's pace in several places every day and be trapped in traffic jams for a long time.

Let's remember how much the tracks, trams, and trolleybuses have been exploited, with hundreds of tours, photos, appearances in regime media, and drone videos for social networks. We are simply suffocated by propaganda that was supposed to convince us that the design of the seat in a new tram is more important than the hours and hours, days and days we spend waiting in traffic jams. Instead of solving the problem, Šteta filmed himself and highlighted scenes of him wisely observing the work on site. What if we filmed the collapse in Sarajevo every day?
