Exhumation of David Dragičević's remains

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The remains of 21-year-old David Dragičević, whose body was found on March 24, 2018, at the mouth of the Crkvena river, and whose death has not been clarified to this day, were exhumed at the New Cemetery in Banja Luka. At the request of the parents of the deceased young man, Suzana Radanović and Davor Dragičević, the remains will be transferred to the Austrian city of Wiener Neustadt.

Members of the Justice for David group gathered this morning at the New Cemetery in Banja Luka, carrying banners "Even the dead have no peace here", "Leaving the ghetto, staying in the heart". David's mother, Suzana Radanović, also attended the exhumation.

For nine months, citizens gathered continuously in Banja Luka, and several mass protests were held. At the end of last year, on December 30, the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested participants of Justice for David, when Davor Dragičević also disappeared. He contacted from an unknown location several times, and stated that he would not come to Banja Luka because he knew he would be arrested. Dragičević has accused the highest police leadership of being involved in the liquidation of his son from the very beginning.

Since then, citizens have been gathering in the churchyard and lighting candles.
