SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Teams of the Federal Civil Protection Administration are evacuating elderly and infirm persons from the Otes settlement and houses that were flooded after heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers.
Evacuated persons will be accommodated in the nearby fire station where there are about 60 beds.
Several settlements in the Ilidža municipality have been flooded, and all available teams are on the ground.
A meeting between the municipal mayor Nermin Muzur and the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto is underway to provide adequate assistance in overcoming the current situation.
