GSS team rescued injured hiker on Bjelašnica

BJELAŠNICA, (Patria) - A team of the Mountain Rescue Service station Sarajevo reached the hiker who needed help in the village of Lukomir in the Rakitnica canyon at 4:10 PM, and he was treated and transferred to a vehicle to receive medical assistance.

The Mountain Rescue Service received the report at 1:25 PM, and teams immediately set off towards the village of Lukomir. A second team also set off as backup. At 2:50 PM, rescuers were on the scene and headed towards Studeni potok where the injured hiker was located. 

The hiker sustained injuries from a fall, but the extent of the injuries is not yet known. The GSS team extracted the injured hiker on a stretcher to an off-road vehicle.
