Eichhorst spoke with Čović, other leaders did not receive a call!?

(Patria) - President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović announced today on social media that he had a telephone conversation with Angelina Eichhorst, Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans, Turkey and the United Kingdom in the European External Action Service.  

- A constructive telephone conversation with Angelina Eichhorst about stabilizing the situation in BiH and continuing negotiations on amendments to the Election Law and limited changes to the Constitution. Urgent stabilization and progress are necessary - wrote Čović.

According to confirmations from the SDA, there were no such conversations with officials of this party. Incidentally, Eichhorst, as well as Matthew Palmer, the US envoy for electoral reform, will very soon come to BiH again to continue negotiations on resolving the issue of electoral reform.

Incidentally, after the last visit of this duo, a document that Eichhorst held in her hands during the press conference will be remembered, which read: "What we need today is dialogue among political leaders. We need a clear strategy of what concrete results sanctions can achieve at this stage. We believe it is still not the time to talk about sanctions; the focus should be on continuing dialogue among political entities in BiH".

It is now unclear whether Eichhorst, under dialogue, means only a conversation with Čović, but not with other participants without whom, in the end, no reforms or amendments can pass.

With the bypassing of the SDA, there is also less and less discussion with other parties in BiH, which may be a reason to suspect that lobbyists have done their job well! But, certainly, this telephone conversation with Čović did not come as a surprise given that Željana Zovko in Brussels persistently works on realizing plans for implementing reform tailored to Čović.
