Efim Muratović winner of the International Chess Tournament "Travnik Open 2015"

FIDE master Efim Muratović is the winner of the International Chess Tournament „TRAVNIK OPEN 2015“ held from July 23 to 26 this year, organized by the chess club Travnik, reports the news agency Patria.

Muratović won the tournament with 6.5 points from 7 games in a field of 71 players from seven countries: Belgium, Norway, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The tournament was on the official calendar of FIDE – the World Chess Federation. Seven rounds were played according to the Swiss system.
The tournament prize fund amounted to 3,750 KM, and participants were chess players whose rating does not exceed 2,400 ELO points.
Among the players were two grandmasters: Milan Vukić and Faruk Bistrić, as well as five international masters and six FIDE masters.

At the ceremonial announcement of the best, a number of special awards were presented; the best female chess player was Jelena Tomić, the best cadet was Ermin Sinanović, and the best local chess player was Nadir Smailkadić. The refereeing duties were performed by Mirza Miralem, chief referee, and Sejfudin Miskić, assistant referee.
