Efendić: Lifting sanctions on Dodik is a product of BiH's poor foreign policy, let's reject the illusion of 'international friends'

(Patria) - The lifting of sanctions on Milorad Dodik is a direct consequence of the foreign policy pursued by Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the BiH entity RS, although according to the Dayton Agreement, foreign policy is exclusively within the competence of the state, says the president of the Party for BiH, Semir Efendić.

On the other hand, Efendić adds, the foreign policy pursued by the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a direct consequence of internal weaknesses and the inability to build a coherent system of managing state affairs and resources over a longer period, and thus ensure credibility and "playing cards" on the international stage.

"Bosnian politics, due to its weaknesses, has reconciled itself with the unconstitutional practice of lower levels of government conducting foreign policy. It is enough to mention just one example, although there are many.

Significant, millions of funds have been allocated for the lobbying of the RS entity in the USA. This entity would not have these funds, nor would it be economically viable at all without the money that is unjustly and illegally taken from FBiH through the system of indirect tax distribution.

In such a situation, parties that claim to conduct state policy have left the management of the state Ministry of Finance and the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH to Milorad Dodik and his SNSD party.

It will be good if, in the end, at least a lesson is learned from all this and the illusions that our 'international friends' will do our job are rejected. This would be of crucial importance due to everything that lies ahead of us," Efendić stated this evening in a post on his Facebook profile.
