(Patria) - Semir Efendić, president of the Party for BiH, was a guest on the show '7PLUS'. At the beginning of the conversation, he commented on the Sarajevo Film Festival and its significance for Sarajevo.
"For three decades now, the Sarajevo Film Festival has come as a beautification of every summer in Sarajevo. In Novi Grad, we have been cooperating with them for over a decade. This year, we have a third location at the Dobrinja Pool, a special ambiance and a unique experience of watching films outdoors. In addition, in previous years we had the open-air summer cinema Safet Zajko, as well as the Novi Grad cinema," he stated.
Many actors, directors, and producers have walked the red carpet, and BiH politicians also attracted a lot of attention.
"The Sarajevo Film Festival is a positive and good brand, and they are probably trying to somehow tie it to themselves. It would have been better if they had made an effort to ensure that film workers work in better conditions, and we have very serious complaints, even from those who supported the current administration, primarily the Trojka. They are now very disappointed with the state of cinematography and the cancellation of some programs. Their specialty is to block everything, stop it, argue about anything, and then things stall, while those who should be the end users suffer. They wasted three years, and in all areas, it is mostly worse than it was. What good is it to us that they admit these mistakes? None of that matters. Let the citizens judge whether it is appropriate for politicians to try to be the main stars on the red carpet, while their job is certainly something else," Efendić believes.
Meanwhile, the fact that the Sarajevo Canton is in major financial trouble has been suppressed.
"They have come to a situation where many things have to be stopped. They ruin film and sports, but not education and healthcare. They have shown a great talent for regression. It is good that there is still a little left of their mandate. Although, given the damage they cause even in one year, they can still do a lot more," says Efendić.
The prices of electricity, water, and public transport are rising day by day, and when asked where all this is leading the Federation, Efendić says:
"So, the Government of the Federation took certain steps that were not supported by a single economist in our country. There is no expert in finance and economics who supported the measures introduced by the Federation Government. And they, of course, produce their consequences and results," said Efendić.
