Efendić on the sale of "Zrak" property: While Nikšić talks about saving the company, its assets are being sold off

(Patria) - The mayor of Novi Grad municipality and president of the Party of BiH, Semir Efendić, reacted to the information that the property of the company "Zrak" is being sold.

"While the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, every so often tells us how the government 'saved' the company Zrak and how the company is now operating stably, the bankruptcy trustee and the bankruptcy judge are selling off its assets. The latest case is from a few days ago where Zrak's land is being sold to Srbinjeputevi from Foča (whose name was also changed to Srbinje).

How anyone can talk about the progress of a company in bankruptcy is a separate question. Instead of the company's assets being sold through bankruptcy proceedings, the Government should have provided funds to pay off the debts in another way and pull the company out of bankruptcy so it could continue to operate normally. With an amendment by the Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2023, 7 million KM in grants were secured for the company Zrak to pay off debts and prevent it from going into bankruptcy, or to exit bankruptcy immediately. Unfortunately, the competent ministry and the government never transferred that money, and bankruptcy was declared under strange circumstances.

Although the municipality of Novi Grad has continuously supported the company Zrak in the past 10 years, especially through training programs and employment of young staff, which the entire public has witnessed, after the declaration of bankruptcy, the bankruptcy trustee or the competent ministry have not contacted the municipality in any way for over two years, even though both Prime Minister Nikšić and Minister Lakić have visited the company Zrak multiple times.

According to the information we have, instead of young workers, pensioners, former employees of the company, are mostly engaged through the bankruptcy. Finally, if the Government truly wants to save the company Zrak, then funds must be urgently secured to pay off debts and exit bankruptcy, because by selling the company's assets in this way, it is possible that all assets will be sold off, while the company remains in debt and in bankruptcy," Efendić stated.
