Efendić: SDA's biggest problem is personnel policy, Sarajlić's resignation is beneficial

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDA's biggest problem is personnel policy. If anything will be instructive for SDA, it is to change the way personnel policy is conducted - and that was Asim Sarajlić, said Semir Efendić, Mayor of Novi Grad municipality, for N1 after he published a compromising recording on Friday, February 28, about "finalizing" votes for the President of the KO SDA Sarajevo. Fikret Prevljak was elected president, and Efendić was the other candidate.

The main actor of the recording, Asim Sarajlić, resigned from all party positions, and it is expected that he will also be summoned to the KS Prosecutor's Office, which is checking whether a criminal offense has been committed.

Efendić noted that Sarajlić was the deputy of the former SDA president Sulejman Tihić while Bakir Izetbegović had no influence.

"He is a very influential person and it is very beneficial that he resigned," said Efendić, stating that he pursued a bad personnel policy.

When asked by the journalist whether Sarajlić could function without the SDA president Bakir Izetbegović, Efendić said that in some matters he could, and in others he could not without Izetbegović.

He noted that he would have published the recording even if he had won the presidency of KO SDA Sarajevo. Efendić has already given a statement to the KS Prosecutor's Office, but as he says, he does not see their interest in dealing with the recording.

When asked if he would leave SDA, the mayor of Novi Grad municipality said that he had not thought about it, but if the party thinks that he should not be in some more important party position, he will not run again.
