Efendić announces: Pools in Dobrinja should be opened in the next ten days

(Patria) - Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton Kenan Magoda and the Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality Semir Efendić signed today an agreement by which the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Culture and Sports provided an additional 300,000 BAM for the continuation of construction and technical works on the pool complex in Dobrinja.

The total amount provided by the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Culture and Sports for this capital project amounts to 2,900,000 BAM.

On this occasion, Magoda emphasized the importance of the project, not only for the Novi Grad municipality but for the entire Sarajevo Canton.

- We are pleased to have supported this infrastructure project that will add value to our city. Citizens of the Canton will be able to enjoy a modern complex in the coming summer days - said Magoda, adding that the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton is at the disposal of all serious infrastructure projects of the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality.

After signing the agreement in the Novi Grad Municipality, Magoda, together with Efendić, Minister of Finance of Sarajevo Canton Emir Dedović, and the director of JP "Lokom" Adnan Šabanović, inspected the final works on the outdoor pools in Dobrinja.

Efendić said that the final preparations before the official opening of the season are nearing completion, which is expected in the next 10 days.

- We already have a signed contract with contractors worth about 1.5 million BAM that addresses the climate system and water heating in the pool facility.

Together with Minister Magoda, who is here for the first time, we toured the pool complex in Dobrinja and I am sincerely pleased with his enthusiasm for the pools and what the citizens of Sarajevo Canton have gained with the construction of this sports and recreational facility in Dobrinja - said Efendić.

In addition to the outdoor pools, this sports and recreational center will have a significant portion of indoor facilities, such as a fitness center, a café restaurant, and some business premises, while the basement will house an indoor pool and saunas, and on the roof of the building there is a large terrace that can serve as a catering facility, as well as a sunbathing area.
