Efendić: Dodik received 300 million KM more thanks to the Trojka

(Patria) - Leader of the Party of BiH and Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality, Semir Efendić, accused the Trojka parties in the N1 program, stating that they enabled Milorad Dodik and SNSD to receive 300 million KM more from VAT than Republika Srpska is entitled to.

- That is serious money, and we know how desperate Dodik was, he tried to get money from all sides. And he found it here in the country he is trying to destroy in every way. However, thanks to the Trojka, he managed to get 300 million KM - Efendić told "Dan uživo".

He also commented on the election of Marin Vukoja as a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

- Our position was that the Constitutional Court of BiH is the last institution that should be filled politically - stated Efendić.

He also referred to the statement made yesterday by Commissioner Oliver Várhelyi, who said in Sarajevo that without a budget, there would be no money from the European Union for BiH.

- It is June, and we do not even have a budget proposal. This is actually a picture of the efficiency of this government. Last year, we had a lot of talk about the fastest formation of the Council of Ministers and a record budget, and time has shown that it is not quite like that.

We said from the beginning that the government should be formed with the opposition from Republika Srpska. We know how it was when that opposition was in power, many steps were taken then. From SNSD, we only get threats and constant blockades, and the opposition from Republika Srpska did not do that. But the Trojka decided to go with Dodik - Efendić points out.

When asked if they decided that or the HDZ, he replied that the HDZ could not raise their hands.

- In September last year, the only session of the Indirect Taxation Authority Board was convened. At that time, 100 million KM more was allocated to Republika Srpska for the third quarter, and that Board has not been convened since.

That amounts to 300 million KM more to date that has gone to the budget of Republika Srpska from VAT revenues. That is serious money, and we know how desperate Dodik was, he tried to get money from all sides.

If PDP gets a fifth delegate in the Club of Serbs in the House of Peoples after the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH, there is talk of a recomposition of state power. For Efendić, the question was whether that would be a solution to the blockades in which BiH finds itself?

- I don't know, but if that happens, the balance of power will partially change. The Trojka enabled SNSD to have a fourth delegate. It will be possible to send SNSD into opposition. But Čović, who successfully manages the leaders of the Trojka, will not allow that - emphasizes Efendić.

Asked about a possible reconstruction of the FBiH Government, the president of the Party of BiH says that the possibilities for that are very small.

- These stories are being spread to distract public attention from real problems - believes Efendić.

Regarding the possibility of NES entering the government at the federal level, he said briefly: "It doesn't seem so to me".

He points out that the Party of BiH will not change sides.

- Time has shown that everything we said was right. We did not want to be part of a Federal Government where HDZ would be the older brother and manage the processes - notes Efendić.

SDP BiH deputies in the FBiH Parliament voted against the election of Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of BiH. One of the host's questions was whether this was a directive from the party leadership or the personal stance of the deputies?

- Both. Our position was that the Constitutional Court of BiH is the last institution that should be filled politically - replied Efendić.

There were explanations that the election of a judge who is favored by SDA and DF would only further alienate Bosniaks and Croats in FBiH, the host noted.

- Those stories make no sense. Four judges are being elected from FBiH, there are no Croats, Bosniaks in the Constitutional Court...

Nothing in the law mentions that (when electing). The best candidate who will judge according to the law should have been sought.

A judge of the Constitutional Court is the apex of our legal system, and a person with no experience is being elected.

The Constitutional Court of BiH is the last resort, and imagine that the rights of citizens are decided by a person who has never written a judgment. That is why columns of our citizens have left BiH - concluded Efendić in his conversation with N1.
