Ef. Velić: I pray to God that the Resolution is adopted, as much for Bosniaks as for Serbs

I pray to Almighty Allah that, God willing, the Resolution on Srebrenica passes in the UN and the Security Council – wrote Muhamed ef. Velić in his Ramadan message, reports the news agency Patria.

He does this, he said, first and foremost for the truth that happened in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995.

And second, let it be a glimmer of hope and consolation for the families of the victims and all of us – that justice, to some extent, still exists in the world.
And third, perhaps most importantly, the Resolution should pass for the sake of the Serbian people as well. For their collective catharsis, not punishment. So that they may finally come to terms with and acknowledge the truth and the genocide committed by some representatives of their people.

So that they look in the mirror, into eyes that were often bloodshot, but now look into the eyes of the entire world. So that they stop denying and lying! And that they finally turn to normal life and coexistence.
