Ef. Hasanović: I don't even know which Eid it is anymore when Muslim blood is flowing

Who can even know which Eid it is anymore, which Eid Muslims are celebrating with the shedding of innocent Muslim blood. Unfortunately, tomorrow's Eid will also be marked by our compassion and pain for our brothers in Gaza who, neither guilty nor innocent, have to spend the holiday outside their homes and in fear for their lives, said mufti Aziz ef. Hasanović, president of the Islamic Community in Croatia, to the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Since July 8 of this year, when the latest wave of Israeli attacks on Gaza was launched, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly civilians, including a large number of children.

Tomorrow, mufti Hasanović will lead the central Eid celebration for Bosniaks in Croatia at the Islamic Center in Zagreb, once again drawing attention to the latest wave of rocket attacks and killings of Muslims in Gaza by the Israeli army. He will again call on all institutions in the world that can help stop the aggression on Gaza to do so as soon as possible.

Commenting on the more than 1,000 civilians killed in Gaza, mufti Hasanović said that Gaza is a test on which today's world powers have failed, and primarily the leaders of Islamic countries. They should have and could have reacted more decisively and strongly to the killing of Palestinian children, he criticizes.

He warns that people around the world, regardless of nationality, have shown more empathy for the people of Gaza in various demonstrations and protests in recent days than many world powers and their governments. This, he says, is a clear sign that these powers have lost their sense of human suffering.

- Unfortunately, we don't only have Gaza, we also have problems in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and other countries with a majority Muslim population, where human blood flows in streams every day - warned mufti Hasanović, writes Patria.
