Ef. Halilović for NAP: No one has 'excommunicated' Kebo from the community, but what he is doing is an attack on Bosniaks

As a mosque hatib, I am obliged to address issues that trouble society. And what Mirsad Kebo is doing is an attack on Bosniaks. He wants to equate the just struggle of Bosniaks for freedom with the countless crimes committed against Bosniaks, says Nezim ef. Halilović, hatib of the King Fahd Mosque, in an interview with the Patria news agency.

He was accused by the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Kebo, in the media of having sharply criticized him during Friday prayers, and even of having 'excommunicated him from the community.'

Kebo has been in the spotlight in recent weeks because he submitted documents to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina allegedly speaking about Bosniak war criminals against the Serbian population during the last Serbian aggression against BiH from 1992 to 1995 in the place of Vozuća near Zavidovići, and he submitted the documents with the greatest media fanfare.

For the alleged crimes, Kebo accused the highest leadership of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which sparked a series of criticisms from the most prominent Bosniak intellectuals. Ef. Halilović himself, during Friday prayers, warned against Kebo's unfounded accusations and called on Bosniaks to be wary of people like Kebo.

- I am obliged to address issues that trouble society, and what Kebo is doing is an attack on Bosniaks. He wants to equate our just struggle for freedom with the countless crimes committed against Bosniaks. What he (Kebo) is doing is shameful - warned ef. Halilović in an interview with Patria.

- From the position of Vice President of the Federation of BiH, Kebo should have primarily taken care of the suffering of his people. Of course, no one has the right to forbid him from mentioning crimes and initiating (indictments), but he is not allowed to do so based on unfounded arguments, to accuse anyone, especially to link it to the top of the state, to the late President Alija Izetbegović, and to bring unfounded accusations in connection with the top of the Army of RBiH. We (the Army of RBiH) are not the same as them (the Army of Republika Srpska).

Ef. Halilović finds it particularly symptomatic that Kebo presents alleged evidence of crimes by the Army of RBiH in Vozuća accompanied by media fanfare from the media in RS, as well as certain media in the Federation of BiH. He does all this at the end of his political career. Moreover, says Halilović, Kebo in his so-called fight for truth simultaneously does not mention the crimes committed against Bosniaks in dozens of camps throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I am particularly concerned, says ef. Halilović, because now we see who has represented Bosniaks all these years, writes Patria.
