Edisa Blažević buries her father Ismet Sušić today; her husband was killed in August 1992, and she was in Trnopolje camp with two children

(Patria) - Edisa Blažević (née Sušić) is at the Kamičani Memorial Center in Kozarac today. After 33 years, her father Ismet will find his final resting place. He was 60 years old when he was killed.

When she learned of his death, she was 24 years old. At that moment, she was in Trnopolje camp with two young children. Her husband died in August 1992.

Although the remains of her father are incomplete, the family decided to give consent for the burial.

"For us, it is a relief, that his soul and body will finally find peace, that we have a place where we can go, recite Fatiha. It is difficult for us. I was in the camp when I learned that he was killed. It was a great shock for me. Even today, after so many years, the pain is certainly present, stronger than when I learned he was killed. Because, back then in the camp, we couldn't even be aware of everything that was happening," Edisa tells Hayat.
