Bosnian-Herzegovinian tennis player Damir Džumhur has advanced to the 3rd round of the US Open, after defeating Cederik Marcel-Stebe on Thursday evening. Džumhur celebrated with a score of 3:1 in sets.
In the 3rd round, he will play against the winner of the match between Russia's Andrey Rublev and Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov.
With tonight's victory over the world's 107th ranked player, Džumhur has made further progress towards his goal this year, which is to be among the top 50 tennis players in the world.
