(Patria) - Damir Džumhur advanced to the third round of the tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico after defeating Thomas Fabbiano 2-0 in sets. The best Bosnian tennis player won both sets in tie-breaks.
In the first set, Thomas led 5-3 and served for the match, but Džumhur broke back and won the tie-break convincingly 7-0.
In the second set, there were two breaks on each side. Džumhur took a 2-0 lead, Fabbiano turned it around to 4-3, but our tennis player again equalized at 5-5, just like in the first set. This time the tie-break was more exciting, ending 7-5 for the Sarajevo native.
Džumhur's next opponent is world number 121, Michael Mmoh.
