(Patria) - Bosnian tennis player Damir Džumhur has withdrawn from the ATP 250 series tournament in Budapest.
"I feel pain in my abdominal wall and am not yet ready to risk playing. It's too risky, as I can only worsen the situation, and that's why I canceled my participation. I hope I will be ready to play soon, so I will dedicate the next two weeks to a full recovery, in order to be ready for Madrid," said Džumhur.
In the first round, he was supposed to play today against Frenchman Pierre Hugues Herbert, who will now have Belarusian Egor Gerasimov, a 'lucky loser', as his opponent.
