Džumhur celebrates again, victory over Chung secures semi-final in America

Damir Džumhur has managed to secure a place in the semi-finals of the ATP 250 series tournament worth $664,825 in Winston-Salem, USA, reports the Patria agency.  

Bosnia's top tennis player celebrated a convincing victory in the quarter-finals against Hyeon Chung of South Korea with a 2-0 set score (6:4, 6:2).

In the first set, Damir led 5:1 and had a comfortable situation to finish the job quickly, but he slowed down a bit, which Chung took advantage of by winning three consecutive games to make it 5:4. However, Damir managed to resolve the set in his favor.  

In the second set, our player controlled the game in all segments and managed to win the set and the match quite easily.  

In the semi-finals, Džumhur will face the 45th-ranked player in the world, Briton Kyle Edmund.  

Džumhur and Edmund have played against each other once in their careers. At the 2016 Australian Open, our player celebrated a 3-2 set victory.
